Rosemary is an evergreen shrub that grows wild throughout the Mediterranean basin. It has been used since ancient times for its medicinal, culinary, and magical properties. In cooking, it is a widely used aromatic plant as it enhances the flavor of any dish, especially stews, lean fish, and some vegetables, as well as in pickling. We are all familiar with the magical use of rosemary, as it is believed to ward off evil spirits or energies. On a pharmaceutical level, it should be noted that its chemotype and indications vary depending on the growing area and distillation time. Rosemary essential oil with cineole is molecularly similar to ravintsara essential oil, so their indications will be very similar and may even be associated for a more pronounced effect.
